Unfortunately, there's so much (percieved) pressure to keep up with the Jones's it makes most people feel like a failure (or think others see them that way) if they downsize & simplify. My parents started RV'ing full-time 7 years ago & have never been happier! They have HAD to simplify because of limited space & are now so much more free to enjoy their life & travels! I am so happy for them & hope to do the same thing someday. Sadly, we felt "the pressure" and bought a bigger house when we moved here to NC. Though we rid ourselves of all credit cards & car payments, we still are overwhelmed with "stuff". It clutters my home & it clutters my mind.
